ABOUT US
Welcome to ResinStart.com!
The place where “What did we do wrong?!” panic turns into “Wow, we made that!” pride.
If you’re here, you’ve probably fallen in love with the magical world of resin, just like we did. You’ve seen those mesmerizing creations on Instagram or Pinterest—with dancing colors and delicate flowers captured forever in a perfect, glossy shine—and thought, “We want to make that!”
And then, maybe, you tried.
Our first shared project? A set of coasters that could have doubled as fly paper. Sticky, full of bubbles, and a murky, undefined color. We were disappointed, confused, and convinced you needed a chemistry lab and a touch of dark magic to succeed at resin art.
We started searching for answers online and found a sea of conflicting information: incomplete advice, tutorials that skipped over crucial safety steps, and a lot of technical jargon that scared us more than it helped.
That’s when we realized that resin art isn’t the complicated part. The lack of a clear, friendly, and trustworthy resource is.
Our Mission: Creativity, Made Safe and Simple
We created ResinStart.com to be the resource we wish we’d had from the beginning. Our mission is simple:
- To Demystify the Process. We aim to translate technical terms into practical tips, demonstrating that anyone can create gorgeous pieces.
- To Put Safety First. We’re working with chemicals, and your health is non-negotiable. We will never skip over safety recommendations.
- To Guide You Step-by-Step. From choosing your first resin kit to fixing common mistakes, we’re here to hold your hand.
Meet the Team: The Heart and the Code Behind ResinStart
ResinStart.com is a passion project run by us, Warren and Alex Clay, a husband-and-wife team who believe that creativity and technology can make magic together.
Warren Clay (The Heart & Art)
“Hi, I’m Warren, the lead creator and resin enthusiast of this operation! My journey into the world of resin started with pure curiosity and was sprinkled with every mistake imaginable. I’ve had sticky resin, overheating resin, muddy colors, and projects that went straight into the bin.
But I’m also stubborn. Every failure motivated me to understand the ‘why’ behind it. I read dozens of technical data sheets, experimented with different brands, and became obsessed with the details. Now, my passion is sharing those hard-earned lessons with you so your creative journey can be filled with joy, not frustration.”
Alex Clay (The Brains & Code)
“And I’m Alex! While Warren is the resin wizard, my canvas is code. My passion isn’t for pigments and glitter but for building clean, user-friendly tools that solve real problems. I’m the one behind the scenes making sure the site runs smoothly and building helpful resources like our Epoxy Resin Calculator. My goal is simple: to create powerful tools that handle the tedious math and guesswork so you can focus entirely on your art.”
Together, we combine our passions to make ResinStart the most helpful, reliable, and supportive resource for resin artists anywhere.
